We are all caregivers in some form. Today I want you to pay close attention to who and what you are caretaking. Notice if it is satisfying for you or it is time to let someone else help in taking care of things. What are you getting by taking care of these things?
My insights: I seem to caretake a lot of things- kids, a cat, house, office, husband, and so on. I get a great deal of satisfaction from caretaking and helping others feel a little better. I spend a lot of time analyzing my relationship and feel that I find a balance of caretaking and assisting in skill development. I do have to watch that I don’t take over when someone is struggling as this is not always the best course of action. I must be purposeful in my caretaking.
In the world: Who caretaker you? Are they effective? How can you express to them the type of caretaking that you need? Let someone know that they are either a good caretaker for you or how they can be a better caretaker.
I would love to see who is going on this journey alongside me- so use the hashtag #30daysofMagic, tag me with @jessietherapy (facebook or instagram) , or message me so I can share your experience too.
See you in the blooms Friends!
